Since the issuance of the of Decree of law no. 32 of 2015 with respect to amendment of some provisions of Law No. 38 of 2009 to establish NHRA; whereby the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has replaced the Authority’s Board of Directors, The SCH has worked closely with NHRA to review and upgrade many regulations and procedures to enable NHRA to perform its responsibilities stated in its law of establishment.
We seek to strengthen and support the role of NHRA to be able to perform its task as an independent regulator for both the governmental and private sector based on the best scientific principles and health practice standards accredited in the Kingdom. As we move forward to implement the national health insurance system, the presence of a strong and well-regulated health services is considered as a major pillar in the new health system, and to create an encouraging environment for health care investments.
